Morgan, 93 April 02, 2004 Laviece Elizabeth Morgan, 93, Logan, died March 20 at Westmont Care Center, Logan. Laviece was born Nov. 7, 1910 in Glenwood to Robert and Clay (Harmer) Morgan. She grew up as an Iowa farm girl and graduated from Glenwood High School. After graduating from Iowa State University, Ames, she began teaching in Whiting. Laviece moved to Ames and taught there until 1952 when she moved to Logan where she taught until her retirement. One of her former students said, "Miss Morgan was the best teacher I ever had." She was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Roberta; and brother, Alfred. Survivors include: sister, Dorothy Alice Mill, Arlington, Va.; and a nephew, Karl Moltmann, Portland, Ore. Funeral Services were held March 24 at the Logan Memorial Chapel, Pastor Connie Beck, officiant. Pianist was Lori Cohrs. Casket bearers were Dion Pitt, Chris Hartwig, Rick Powell and Roger Seeley.
