Sales, 64 April 09, 2004 Lonnie G. Sales, 64, Council Bluffs, died of cancer March 29 at his home. Lonnie was born March 3, 1940, in Council Bluffs to Herbert W. and Gertrude M. (McIntosh) Sales. He was a concrete finisher working out of Local No. 1140 Laborers Union Hall for 40 years. He and his wife, Sharon (Tefft) Sales, were married Nov. 23, 1994. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: stepsons, Charles Gillespie and his wife, Tammie; Donald Gillespie; Terry Gillespie and his wife, Della, all of Council Bluffs; sisters, Alice Woods, Fountain Valley, Calif.; Betty Morris and her husband, Harold, Pocola, Okla.; Beatrice Waldron and her husband, Charles, Pisgah; Alma Clatterbuck and her husband, Norman, Salinas, Calif.; Janice Case, Omaha; and Lola Alley and husband, Larry, of Mantecca, Calif.; brothers, Johnny Sales and wife, Lillian, Jacksonville, Fla.; Norman Sales, Council Bluffs; Larry Sales and his wife, Edith, Mountain View, Calif.; Arthur Sales, Rex Sales and his wife, Phyllis, all of Council Bluffs; and Robert Sales and his wife, Debra, Omaha; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and an aunt, Vera Swanger, Council Bluffs. Funeral Services will be held today (Friday, April 2) at 11 a.m. at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home, Council Bluffs, the Rev. Claude Maddox, Harvest Temple Church of God, officiant. Interment will be in Hazel Dell Cemetery. A lunch will follow at Regal Towers, Council Bluffs. Memorials may be given to the family.
