McDunn in Woodbine, Iowa. She grew up in the Woodbine area and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in Dunlap. On May 21, 1927, she married Daniel Adams. The couple farmed near Dunlap and they were blessed with three children. Dan died on July 7, 1972. Mary moved into Woodbine until 1995 at which time she moved to Lake View. Mary was a member of the Jolly Neighbors Club. She loved to garden and she really enjoyed the beautiful flowers. Mary died on Sunday, April 4, 2004 at Black Hawk Lifecare Center in Lake View reaching the age of 95 years, seven months and 29 days. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; daughter, Marjorie Bissen; son, John Adams; son-in-law, Donald Bissen; three brothers, Edward, Francis and Charles McDunn; grandson, John Adams, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Joey Kramer, Jason Krajicek and Caryn McHugh. She is survived by her son, Bob Adams and his wife Marva of Lake View; daughter-in-law, Margaret Adams of Omaha, Neb.; special niece, Bobbie Wettengel of Omaha, Neb.; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial was held at Fouts Funeral Home in Woodbine on Wednesday, April 7, 2004. Rev. Paul Strittmatter was celebrant for the 10 a.m. service. Musician was Loie McElwain. Vocalists were Sue Benedickt who sang "Ave Maria" and Pastor Ken and Christine McMillen who sang "Amazing Grace" and "Mansion Over the Hill Top." Interment was made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap. Pallbearers were David Muff, Luke Muff, Rich Muff, Willie Krajicek, Lonnie Malone, Jr., Jerry Thompson.
