Daily Nonpareil Council Bluffs IA April 25th 2004 Helen Marie Bahr, 83, died April 23 at Risen Home Christian Village in Council Bluffs. She was born in Missouri Valley and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1940. She returned to Council Bluffs from California in 1974. She was preceded in death by parents, Carl G. and Stella M. Bahr; and a sister, Cleo M. Hardman. She is survived by two sisters, Betty M. and husband, Mel Carlson, of Akron, Ohio, and Bonnie J. Barton of Council Bluffs; three brothers, Robert F. Bahr of Eugene, Ore., Carl R. and wife, Evelyn Bahr, of Council Bluffs, and Donald E. and wife, Betty Bahr, of Council Bluffs; and various nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the chapel, with John D. Farrell, Chaplain of Hospice Preferred Choice officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to Hospice Preferred Choice.
