(Jump) Grady. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated in 1937. He then began farming with his parents. On January 5, 1946, he married Dolores Moran at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Council Bluffs. The couple lived and farmed Wendell's family farm. He was the fourth generation to farm the land. Wendell was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He enjoyed raising cattle and going on fishing trips. He will be remembered for his quick wit and his sense of humor. Wendell died on Sunday, March 28, 2004, at his farm home near Dunlap (the same farm upon which he was born) at the age of 83 years, nine months and seven days. Preceding in him death were his parents and three brothers, Hilton, Norbert and Robert Grady. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dolores Grady of Dunlap; seven children, Pat Grady of Logan, Rosemary Grady and husband John Kyreakakis of Logan, Dr. Ann and Wayne Burress of the Netherlands, Suzanne Grady of Fort Myers, Fla., Jim Grady and wife Jane of Dunlap, Sara Grady and husband Robert Bledsoe of Phoenix, Ariz., Maureen Grady-Tatge and husband George Tatge III of Atlanta, Ga.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three first cousins, Madeline Snethen of Council Bluffs, Dr. John McLeay of Omaha, Neb., and Mary Tedesco of Council Bluffs and many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dunlap Wednesday morning, March 31, 2004 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Paul Strittmatter officiating. Lector was Marvin Kelley and Irish Blessing was given by Ryan Sullivan. Organist was Marilyn Grote and vocalist was Jerry Baldwin. Interment was made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap. Pallbearers were Dan Brasel, Eric Burress, Charles Grady, Max Grady, Tim Grady, Jay Schaben. Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap was in charge of arrangements. ©The Dunlap Reporter 2004
