Nelson, 90 April 05, 2004 Merlyn Edward Nelson, 90, Missouri Valley, died March 28 at Longview Home. He was born in Tilden, Neb. He was employed as a mechanic at United Airlines for 33 years, retiring in 1974. Merlyn was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle; brother, Lyle; and sisters, Audrey and Arlene. Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Boyd, Council Bluffs; sister, Ellen Crossett, Valentine, Neb.; grandchildren, Deborah Richardson, Patricia Boyd, Jody Brunow, Wendy Richardson, Jessica Boyd, Travis Brunow, Christine Brunow; great-great-granddaughter, Trinitie Brunow. Funeral Services were held March 30 at the McCurdy Funeral Home, Council Bluffs, the Rev. Mark Heath, officiant. Interment was to be in Las Vegas, Nev.
