Daily Nonpareil Council Bluffs IA November 7th 2004 Ralph Lloyd was born in 1919 and raised in McClelland. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1937. His parents owned and operated Lloyd's Chick Hatchery on East Broadway. Ralph worked in the business with his parents. In 1940 Ralph met the lady he would spend the rest of his life with. He and Maxine Leonard of Logan were married in February 1941. The Lloyds had two children, a daughter, Anne, and a son, Evan. In the late 1940s Ralph started Lloyd's Turkey Ranch on Highway 64. In 1958 they sold out and moved to Arizona due to their daughter's health. In 1987 they moved again to Richland, Wash., to be near their daughter. They enjoyed 63 years of married life. Ralph went to be with the Lord Oct. 27.
