Chambers, 94 May 21, 2004 Lorena Marie Chambers, 94, Pisgah, died May 5 at Alegent Health Community Memorial Hospital, Missouri Valley. Lorena was born April 2, 1910 in Charter Oak to Henry and Amanda (Mohr) Schroeder. She married Roy Mesenbrink, and in 1941, they moved to Omaha. Roy later died. In 1955, Lorena was married to Langly Chambers. The couple worked for the Omaha Board of Education for 25 years. Upon retirement, they moved to Pisgah. Lorena was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren on trips, sewing, flowers and gardening. Lorena was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Roy and Langly; brothers, Raymond and LaVern; and son-in-law, William Hrabik. Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn Hrabik, Pisgah; Shirley Drey and her husband, Wayne, Omaha; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wilfred, Denison; Virgil and his wife, Elaine, Riverside, Calif.; sister-in-laws, Ann Schroder, Denver, Colo.; and Charlotte Schroeder, Santa Anna, Calif. Funeral Services were held at the Pisgah United Methodist Church, May 8, Pastor Dee Ann Klapp, officiant. Organist was Sarah Bryceson, vocalist was Pat Armstrong. Casket bearers were Merl Drey, Russell Drey, William Hrabik, Ronald Drey, Roger Hrabik, and Ernest Hrabik. Interment was in the Soldier Valley Cemetery, Pisgah.
