Daily Nonpareil Council Bluffs IA May 20th, 2004 Frances "Elaine" Hanson, 66, died May 18 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. She was born July 13, 1937, in Missouri Valley. Elaine was a loving wife, mom and grandma who loved to play the piano. Elaine and her husband, Gerald Hanson, were married 50 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Sublet. Survivors in addition to her husband include daughters, Cindy Carey and husband, Mike, Vicky Higginbotham and husband, Randy, Connie Gibbs and husband, Dave, Cheri Churchill and husband, John; son, Tom Hanson and wife, Melody; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and her mother, Frances Foreman Sublet. Visitation with the family will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Ridgecrest Church, 20245 205th St., Council Bluffs. Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the church with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Missouri Valley. McCurdy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be offered to the church.
