Daily Nonpareil Council Bluffs IA May 19th, 2004 James L. McClannahan, 73, of Mondamin died May 18 at University Hospital in Omaha. Advertisement He was born July 28, 1930, to John and Edna Reichardt McClannahan. Jim lived and farmed in rural Mondamin for his entire life except for the time during the Korean War when he served his country in the Navy. Mr. McClannahan and his wife, Eileen (Finken) were married Jan. 14, 1953. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Maxine and brother Jack. Survivors in addition to his wife include daughters, Teri and Lori, daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Matt Crabb; son, Royal; son and daughter-in-law, Robin and Julie. Grandchildren, Cari, John and Emily McClannahan, and Jenna Crabb; brother, Gene; sister, Maureen Purcell and stepbrother, Jerry Cook. Visitation is Thursday after 2 p.m with family receiving from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Noyes Cemetery in Mondamin.
