Daily Nonpareil Council Bluffs IA May 11, 2004 MISSOURI VALLEY - The funeral for Dorothy A. Shideler, 72, of Missouri Valley will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs with the Rev. James Newman of Hazel Dell United Methodist Church officiating. Mrs. Shideler died May 9 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha of cancer. She was born Nov. 17, 1931, in Omaha to Henry and Mary (Williams) Hansen and graduated from Omaha Technical High School in 1948. She worked as a homemaker. She was a member of Hazel Dell United Methodist Church. Mrs. Shideler and her husband, Albert, had been married since Jan. 20, 1958. Survivors in addition to her husband include three daughters, Sheron L. Miller and husband, Scott, Linda Palmer and husband, Kim, all of Omaha, and Sandy Billings and husband, Craig, of Elkhorn, Neb.; one sister, Emma Tyer and husband, Earl, of Kingsley; and three grandchildren, Randy Shideler, Cory Billings and Shelby Billings. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grange Cemetery in Honey Creek with a luncheon following at the church. Memorials may be offered to Hazel Dell United Methodist Church.
