Behm March 15, 1918 - April 9, 2007 The Daily Nonpareil 4/10/2007 Regina F. Petersen, age 89, of Missouri Valley, Iowa died Wednesday April 9, 2007, after a brief illness at the Longview Care Center in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Regina was born on March 15, 1918 to Henry and Hazel Behm at Sandy Point in Harrison County, Iowa. She attended Calhoun School graduating College of St. Mary's in Omaha, Neb. Regina worked at J.C. Penny in Missouri Valley. She married Elmer (Tug) Petersen in 1938, who later died in 1990. They were married 52 years. Regina was an Officer at The First National Bank in Missouri Valley over thirty years retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Red Cross volunteer and served on the Board for Community Memorial Hospital. Her passion in her early life was bowling. She moved to Linnwood Estates in Glenwood, Iowa in July 2004, for one year before returning to Longview Care Center in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Regina is survived by her three daughters, Pamela Erlbacher and late husband, Richard, of Earling, Iowa, Julianne Morton and her husband, Michael, of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Joanie Petersen, of Glenwood; granddaughters, Amy Erlbacher Cavenaugh and husband, Tony, of Harlan, Iowa, Erin Erlbacher Peterson and husband, Josh, of Avoca, Iowa, Erica Erlbacher Buck and husband, Randy, of Marryville, Mo.; grandsons, Christopher Morton and wife, Kate, of Minneapolis, Minn., Andrew Morton, of Council Bluffs; eight great-grandchildren, Xavier Cavanaugh, Jace Tug Peterson, Ellie Peterson, Jett Peterson, Brayden Buck, Halle Buck, Vincent Morton and Dominic Morton; brothers, Bob, Duane, Gerry and Larry Behm; sisters, Marguerite Stockstad, Lucille DeGood and Virginia Behm; many nieces and nephews, relatives and special friends. Visitation with the family will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Missouri Valley. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2007 at church. Final Resting Place, St. Bridget's Cemetery, Magnolia, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, the family will direct memorials. The family would like to invite you to a time of lunch and fellowship at St. Patrick's Catholic Church following the committal service.
