Daily Nonpareil Council Bluffs IA June 19th, 2004 Lonny D. Peterson, 39, of Modale died June 16 at home. He was born Dec. 13, 1964, in Blair, Neb., to Jim D. and Mary Jean (Gardner) Peterson. Lonny graduated from West Harrison High School. He was a farmer in the Modale and Mondamin areas. Survivors include his parents, Jim D. and Mary, of Modale; sisters, Lori Schafer and husband, Steve, of Yoder, Wyo., Lanette Grimes of Spirit Lake, Lorraine Thomas and husband, Barry, of Modale, Louanne Dietrich and husband, Alan, of St. Joseph, Mo.; nieces and nephew: Seth Schafer, Jaryn Grimes, Callie Schafer, Paige Johnsen; great-aunt, Eva Engen of Modale; many other relatives and friends. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley with visitation to follow. Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Lonny's residence at 1341 270th Trail, Modale. Burial will be in Calhoun Cemetery in Missouri Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lonny D. Peterson memorial fund, for the planting of trees in the Modale area or to charity of choice.
