Daily Nonpareil Council Bluffs IA July 30th, 2004 The funeral for John Hilmer Johnson, 82, of Council Bluffs will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson died June 27. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, JoAnn Z. Johnson, and grandson Todd Johnson. Survivors include four daughters, Mary Ann Grogan of Council Bluffs, Kathy Dorsey of Missouri Valley, Carol Jennings of Pacific Junction and Patricia Poole of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sons, John H. Johnson III of Harlan, James Johnson of Pope Valley, Calif., and Timothy Johnson of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Sr. Mary Augusta Johnson of Louisville, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery with a luncheon following at the funeral home.
