S. MANCHESTER U. S. Manchester, 69, died Saturday afternoon at 119 West Pierce street of asthma after an illness of one week. Mr. Manchester had been a resident of Council Bluffs for thirty-five years. He was a member of the Congregational church and Bluff City lodge No. 71, A. F. & A. M.. Surviving are three sons, Milo, John and Earl Manchester, all of Council Bluffs: two brothers Frank Manchester of Gilroy, Calif., and Charles Manchester of Butler, PA.: six grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body is at Cutler's mortuary. The Council Bluffs Nonpareil, Feb. 22, 1937 Funeral services for U.S. Manchaester will be held at Cutler's chapel Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., Rev. J. R. Perkins officiating. Bluff City lodge No. 71 A. F. & A. M. , will give its ritual at the grave. Burial will be in Walnut Hill cemetery. Respectfully submitted for other researchers.
