Daily Nonpareil Council Bluffs IA June 7th, 2004 DUNLAP - The funeral for Richard Franklin Miller, 72, of Dunlap, formerly of the Tennant area, will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with the Rev. James Boardman of Tennant Methodist Church officiating. Mr. Miller died June 4 at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan. He was born in Harlan and graduated from Tennant High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 16, 1953 to April 14, 1953, during the Korean War, then farmed for more than 40 years. He was a member of Tennant United Methodist Church, where he served as secretary for many years; and the Shelby Cemetery Board for many years. Mr. Miller and his wife, Bonnie, of Portsmouth had been married for 42 years. Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Ronald, of Portsmouth; and a sister, Marilyn King and husband, Harold, of Schaller. Visitation will continue today at the funeral home until 9 p.m., and the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Harlan Cemetery in Harlan.
