Daily Nonpareil Council Bluffs June 11th, 2004 Pearl V. Driver, 93 of Honey Creek died June 11 at the home of her son, Jerry D. and wife, Emma M. She was born Feb. 14, 1911, in Neola to James and Amy (Thompson) Handbury. She graduated from Beebeetown High School. She was a homemaker and formerly taught school. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was a resident of Honey Creek for six years after farming in the Neola area with her husband, J. Lester. She was married to her husband for 66 years until his death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lois Piper; brother, Frank Handbury; and son-in-law, Don Piper. She is survived by her son, Jerry D. and wife, Emma M., of Honey Creek; sister-in-law, Mildred Handbury of Harlan; grandchildren and spouses, Lynn Driver and Ann Kinen, Randy and wife, Lisa Driver, Deb Cain and husband, Ed, Brenda Carson and husband, John; 14 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Bichel officiating. Burial will be at Grange Cemetery in Honey Creek with luncheon to follow at St. Paul's Boomer Township Church. Memorials may be offered to Hospice Preferred Choice.
