Daily Nonpareil Council Bluffs IA July 27th, 2004 HARLAN - Emmarita Freund, 86, of Harlan died July 26 at Elm Crest Retirement Community. She was born in Panama. She graduated in 1935 from high school. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Freund was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Freund. They were married 47 years. Survivors include daughter, Mary Jo Buckley, and husband, Duane, of Missouri Valley; grandchildren, Bradley Buckley of Omaha, Bryan Buckley and wife, Kathy, of Logan; great-grandchildren, Michael Buckley of Logan, Bryanna Buckley of Logan and Levi Buckley of Logan. Visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 8:30 with a wake service at 7 at Pauley Jones Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael G. Peters officiating. Burial will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Defiance. Memorials may be offered to the church.
