Obit: from "The Saints' Herald" : Martin: Abner Martin was born in Lafayette County, Missouri, in the year 1822; was baptized into the Church of Christ February 12th, 1865, by Elder Rasmus Campbell, Pottawattamie county, Iowa, and died April 30th, 1889, at his residence in Harrison county, Iowa. The hope given in obedience to the gospel was as an anchor to his soul, and he was enable to welcome the great change, and was anxious to depart hence that he might be with Christ. He leaves a wife, 14, children and 39 grandchildren, His funeral sermon was preached in Woodbine, Iowa, on the 5th May 1889, by C. Derry.
