19 July 1923 OBITUARIES: Richard Davis, another old timer of the west side died at his home in Modale July 4th, age 78 years. He was born in Missouri in 1845, married Susan Little in 1863. To the two 11 children were born, of who six survive. Mr. Davis served in the Civil War with the Independent Indian Scouts and of course saw some real service. Interment was in Calhoun.
