Funeral services were held March 1 at 11 a.m. at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley with Chaplain James Jost officiating. Organist was Genelle Riesland and vocalist Bill Cunard. Selections were "Amazing Grace" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Casket bearers were Bill Stevens, Mick Harper, Dean Andersen, David McDunn, Dennis Mefferd and Jim Westphal. Final resting place was Oak Grove Cemetery in Missouri Valley. Delmond was born Sept. 8, 1920 in Lonedell, Mo., to Chester LeRoy and Ruth (Hemker) Woody. He was married to Betty Louise Triplett. Delmond was the service manager at Schwertley Chevrolet in Missouri Valley and retired as service manager from Dayhuff Chevrolet in Logan in 1980. He served in the United States Army in World War II as a Staff Sergeant. During his tour of duty he was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, American Theater Companion Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Delmond was a member of the Baptist Church, Fire Department, American Legion, Eagle's Club, bowling league and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include his sons, Delmond LeRoy Woody Jr. and wife Charlene of Thompson Falls, Mont., Michael Alan Woody of Missouri Valley; daughter Bobby Jo Davis of Littleton, Colo., 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson. Delmond was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughters Betty Lou Crosby and Bonnie Jean Kirchhevel. Military honors were conducted by the Julius F.
