Rev. Dr. Kevin Siscoe served as clergy. Musician was Bev Price with guitarist Marian Gaul Greer. Vocalists were Jim and EveVonne Muff with selections being "How Great Thou Art" and Phil Lubbers with "Because He Lives." Congregational hymns were "In the Garden" and "Amazing Grace." Pall bearers were Brian Muff, Adam Muff, Scott Russmann, Todd Lampe, Tyler Lampe, Dusty Russmann, Travis Lampe, Trisha Crawford, Ross Laubscher, Randy Laubscher, Rheanne Laubscher, Krystal Galles, Shawn Gaul and Cody Gaul. Ralph Dwain Laubscher was born July 23, 1929, to Fritz and Marie (Feller) Laubscher in Dow City, Iowa. Ralph attended country school and Dow City High School. Ralph worked and farmed for Kate Buss. On Aug. 12, 1950, Ralph married Irene Gray at the Methodist parsonage in Denison, Iowa. He then worked for Paul Porter for six months in Neola, Iowa. Ralph's brother, Freddie, was called to war so the couple moved back to Dow City to farm with Ralph's parents. Ralph and Irene lived with Ralph's parents for two years before his parents moved to Denison. Ralph and Irene continued to live on the family farm, operated the Laubscher House of Cheese in Denison from 1984 to 2000 and continued farming. Ralph was a member of the Congregational Church in Dunlap and held several positions at the church including trustee and deacon through out the years. He was also a member of the Dunlap Golf Course. He loved to hunt, fish and travel. Ralph was very handy and he enjoyed welding tractor smokers, carpentry work, raising gourds to build bird houses and rebuilding Massey Harris tractors. He also loved to cook especially breakfast, barbeque foods, fish fries and onion rings. Ralph died on March 3, 2007, at his home in Dow City, Iowa at the age of 77 years, seven months and eight days. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Pauline Laubscher, Emma Remmes and Bertha Rank; brother, Fred Laubscher; and son-in-law, Dan Gaul. He is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Irene Laubscher of Dow City, Iowa; four children: EveVonne and her husband Jim Muff of Dow City, Iowa, Vickie and her husband Pat Lampe of Dunlap, Iowa, Rolly Laubscher and his wife Renita of Dow City, Iowa, Debbie (Gaul) and her husband Ross Rusch of Dow City, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; Brian Muff and his wife Keri, Adam Muff and his wife Kylie, Scott Russmann and his wife Carrie, Todd Lampe, Tyler Lampe, Dusty Russmann and his wife Tracey, Travis Lampe, Trisha and her husband Cole Crawford, Ross Laubscher, Randy Laubscher and his wife Katie, Rheanne Laubscher, Krystal and her husband Denny Galles, Shawn Gaul, and Cody Gaul; six great grandchildren, Kody Galles, Ryan Russmann, Sydney Muff, Jackson Russmann, Allison Muff and Paige Russmann; sister, Esther Olson of Denison, Iowa; sister-in-law, Lois Laubscher of Denison, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends. Final resting place was Dow City Cemetery in Dow City, Iowa.
