Huebner Dec. 30, 1916 - March 2, 2007 ©MISSOURI VALLEY TIMES - NEWS 03/13/2007 Jennie M. Hiller, 90, Missouri Valley, died March 2, 2007 in Missouri Valley. Jennie was born Dec. 30, 1916 in Glenwood to John and Thelma (Greenlee) Huebner. Jennie attended high school in McClelland. On May 21, 1936 she married John Hiller. She moved to Missouri Valley in 1954 and lived there until her death. From 1936 to 1938, she worked for the Bell Telephone Co. as a switchboard operator. Jennie built and operated the still-functioning Dairy Den Drive-In in Missouri Valley, from 1954 to 1965. She worked for J.C. Penney Co. from 1968 until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Missouri Valley, since 1954. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Huebner, Jr. and Robert Huebner; infant sister, Helen Huebner; and sister-in-law, Ruth Huebner. Survivors include: her daughters, Jenet Bakke and her husband, John, Vernon Hills, Ill.; Janice Gronstal and her husband, Robert, Treynor; Judith Connor and her husband, William, Bellevu! e, Neb.; Jeanie Botos and her husband, William, Missouri Valley; sons, John Hiller and his wife, Mary, Houstonia, Mo.; Jim Hiller and his wife, Evelyn, Missouri Valley; Jeff Hiller and his wife, Susan, Council Bluffs; sister-in-law, Ann Huebner, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral Services were held March 6 at the First Lutheran Church, Missouri Valley, Pastor Ray Smith, officiant. Organist was Genelle Riesland, vocalist was Bill Cunard. Honorary Bearers were: Cecil Hiller, Christopher Gronstal, and Lynn Hiller. Casket Bearers were: Bart Hiller, James Bakke, Thomas Gronstal, Daniel Botos, Richard Hiller, and Matthew Connor. Interment was in the Mineola Cemetery, Mineola.
