Thomas Sr. July 28, 1926 - September 17, 2006 ©Daily Nonpareil 09/18/2006 Guy M. Thomas Sr., age 80, passed away September 17, 2006. Guy was born in Harrison County on July 28, 1926, to Laffette and Estalla Thomas. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He is a lifetime member of the VFW Post #737 and worked many years in Council Bluffs as a entrepneur and operated a hauling service. He is preceded in death by sons, Markel and James "Jamie" and daughter, Barbara "Tutti" Adams. Survivors include wife, Dorothy "Dot"; daughter, Charmaine Gray (Lee); sons, Guy Jr., all of Moorhead, Minn., Lafe (Sally), of Council Bluffs, Jeff (Ericka), of Huffman, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; step daughters, Mary Kasprick (Keith), of Fargo, N.D., Karen Schneiderwind (Dale), of Council Bluffs; step son, James Meyers Jr. (Greta), of Moorhead, Minn.; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews; sister-in-law, Deb Nelson, Shirley Clark (James); brother-in-law, Edwin Nelson (Sharon), all of Council Bluffs; many friends. Visitation with family Tuesday 6-8 p.m. Funeral services Wednesday 1 p.m. all at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Interment Hazel Dell Cemetery. Memorials to Diabetes Association. Military Rites tendered by American Legion Post #2.
