(Skelton) Jones Sept. 10, 1925 - Sept. 4, 2006 ©Daily Nonpareil 09/05/2006 Nora B. Jones, age 80, of Council Bluffs passed away Sept. 4, 2006, at her home. She was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Loveland, Iowa, to Orlie and Ruby Hume Skelton. Nora attended Missouri Valley High and worked in the pediatrics as a nurse at Jennie Edmundson. Nora married Paul L. Jones on Dec. 29, 1945. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nell Driscoll, and Norma Brown; and brother, Lyle Skelton. Nora is survived by husband Paul and daughter, Suzanne Walker, both of Council Bluffs; granddaughter, Mindy Walker, of Ogden, Utah; grandson, Michael Torgerson and wife Denise, of Council Bluffs; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Roland (Marguerite) Stephens, of Frederick, Colo., Mrs. Marvin (Nancy Joanne) Hoyt, of Missouri Valley, Holly Hill, of Sedalia, Colo., Mrs. Jim (Helen) Pospisal, of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Duane (Carole) Rayburn, of Honey Creek, Iowa; nieces and nephews. Visitation with family Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Funeral Home. Funeral service Friday at 11 a.m. also at funeral home, Rev. Melvin Claassen Pastor Woodland Community Bible Church officiant. Interment Branson Cemetery, Loveland, Iowa. Memorials to Northcrest Care Centers New Entrance, and Woodland Church. Luncheon to follow Graveside services at Woodland Community Church.
