John was born January 17, 1943, in Persia, Iowa, to John Edward and Gilda Spracklin, Sr. John retired as a diesel mechanic and was a devoted family man. John is preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Gilda; brother Jim, and great grandson, Ethan. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 46 years Joyce; daughters, Karlene, Kathy, and Kim; grandsons, Matthew and Marty; granddaughters, Ashley and Nicole; two great granddaughters and one great grandson; two sisters and six brothers. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7p.m., at Henry-Livingston Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church with Father Dan Kirby officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
