He was born in Walnut, Iowa to James and Margaret (Weber) Barney. He was a Logan, Iowa 1956 High School graduate. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Shelley Johnson; twin brothers, Robert and Ronald Barney. Survived by wife, Dee; daughter, Nancy Hanson, both of Ashland, Neb.; grandchildren, Matthew and Tyler Johnson, Kelsey Gonzales; great grandson, Kaleb James Johnson; sister-in-law, Mary Jean Barney, Logan; special family friends, Jeanette and Jeris Anndannandus; plus his many relatives, friends whom he loved. Visitation Sunday 5-8 p.m. with family present to greet you at Marcy Mortuary, Ashland and one hour prior to service time at Ashland American Lutheran Church.
