Detwiler The Dunlap Reporter December 15, 2006 Glen C. Detwiler, 89, of Greenville, S.D., died Saturday, November 18, 2006. He was a native of Woodbine, Iowa, son of the late Cyrus and Eva Detwiler. He was a WWII veteran and served in the army in the European theatre. Glen was territory salesman for Stewart Warner Alemite Company for 25 years. He was preceded in death by a brother, Fay; sister, Velma Erwood; and his wife of 57 years, Darlene O'Banion Detwiler. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Peggy and Michael Bogardus and Janice Kimball, all of Greenville, S.D.; sister-in-law, Millicent O'Banion Richey of Hendersonville, N.C.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services were private. Interment was made at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, N.C. Arrangements were by McLean Funeral Home in Gastonia, N.C. Memorials may be given to the organization of individual choice.
