Elder Danny Mefferd served as clergy. Musicians were Eve Vonne Muff and Cyrila Roberts with selection "The Old Rugged Cross." Pallbearers were Raymond Vredeveld, Mia Weakland, Chrissy Waido, Nicki Bordovsky, Kevin Gray, Jennifer Harris, Laura Soetmelk, Tom Gray, Shannon Jones, Melissa Meeker, Sara Gray and Joe Gray. Lloyd Albert Gray was born Feb. 4, 1925, to Thomas and Laura (Moore) Gray in Moorhead. He attended county school near Moorhead. Lloyd began farming with his uncle, Richard Moore. Lloyd married Margaret Maxwell on Jan. 25, 1944, in Onawa. The couple farmed in the Dunlap and Moorhead areas. Margaret died on March 26, 2001. Lloyd enjoyed camping, hunting, gardening and country music. Lloyd died on Dec. 4, 2006 at his home in Dunlap at the age of 81 years and 10 months. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; son, Gene Gray; grandson, Bobby Gray; two brothers, Cyril and Floyd Gray; and son-in-law, John Vredeveld. He is survived by two sons, Thomas Gray and his wife Judy of Weston, Neb., Bart Gray and his wife Donna of Branson, Mo.; daughter, Ann Vredeveld of Grand Island, Neb.; daughter-in-law, Judy Dick of Woodbine; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; seven siblings, Ervin Gray and his wife Opal, Bernice Summerfield all of Dunlap, Irene and her husband Ralph Laubscher of Dow City, Darlene Chilton of Las Cruces, N.M., Vera and her husband Gary Rosenberger of Carter Lake, Iowa, Jane and her husband John Miller and Jim Gray and his wife Jo Ann Gray all of Dunlap; sister-in-law, Patsy Gray of Dunlap; and many other relatives and friends. Final resting place is Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap. Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap was in charge of arrangements.
