Funeral service was held at the Zion Lutheran Church in Magnolia with Rev. Dennis Maaske officiating. Musician was Janice Perkins. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Ehlert, Tammy Gielisch, Jill Lickteig, Stacie Herridge, Jeremy Ehlert, Jeff Ehlert, Rick Ehlert, Joel Jackson and Jenny Zeka. Pallbearers were John Ganzhorn, Fred Ehlert, Karol King, Gary Ehlert, Richard Ehlert and Doug McElwain. Final resting place was Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia. Mamie was born June 4, 1915 to W.C. and Mamie (Nelson) Voss in Magnolia Township. She attended grade school and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1933. Mamie married Hudson Beebee Ehlert Sept. 10, 1940 in Papillion, Neb. Mamie farmed with her husband in the Woodbine area. Hudson died Aug. 30, 1985. Mamie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Magnolia and later Immanuel Lutheran Church in Logan. She loved to travel and work crossword puzzles. Mamie enjoyed researching family history and worked with the Harrison County Genealogy Society. Her family was very dear to her and she enjoyed keeping up on the grandchildren's and great grandchildren's activities. After Hudson's death, Mamie moved to Woodbine. Survivors include two sons, Dennis Ehlert and his wife Lorraine of Woodbine, Roger Ehlert and his wife Jeanne of Haysville, Kan.; one daughter Jeanne and her husband Robert Jackson of Anita; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one sister Winifred King of Blair, Neb., three sisters-in-law, Helen Ehlert, Edna Ehlert, Loie and her husband Merril McElwain, all of Woodbine; one brother-in-law, Fargo Ehlert of Missouri Valley; and many other relatives and friends. Fouts Funeral Home in Woodbine was in charge of the arrangements.
