Detwiler posted with permission from: Logan Herald-Observer, Logan, IA 51546 Woodbine Twiner, Woodbine, IA 51579 12/06/2006 Glen C. Detwiler, 89, of Greenville, S.C., died Nov. 18, 2006. He was a native of Woodbine, son of the late Cyrus and Eva Fadden Detwiler, and was preceded in death by his brother Fay, sister Velma Erwood and wife of 57 years, Arlene O'Banion Detwiler. Glen was a WWII veteran and served in the army in the European theatre. He was territory salesman for Stewart Warner Alemite Company for over 25 years. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law Peggy and Michael Bogardus and Janice Kimball, all of Greenville, S.C.; sister-in-law Millicent O'Banion Richey, Hendersonville, N.C.; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services were private. Interment: Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, N.C. Arrangements: McLean Funeral Home, Gastonia, North Carolina. Memorials may be made to the organization of individual choice.
