Funeral services were held Dec. 2 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hennessy-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley with Pastor Steve Cornelius officiating. Musicians were nieces Trish Jones and Karen Fulfs. Selections were, "Thank you, Lord, For your Blessings on Me" and "I've Got More to go to Heaven For." Casket bearers were Gabe Reisz, Larry Jones, Tim Obrecht, Jerry Sorick, Maurice Rush and Dennis Johnson. Final resting place was Rose Hill Memorial Garden in Missouri Valley. Lucille was born at Castana on Mar. 14, 1911 to Matilda (Kraft) and Amzia W. Bonham. She married Theodore (Ted) Walter Lane April 15, 1929. Ted passed away on Aug. 21, 1959. Lucille lived in Harrison County all her life and had many friends. She was active in the First Baptist Church of Missouri Valley. She baked pies for some restaurants in Missouri Valley and for many local people. She would often talk about her pies while in the nursing home even after most of her memory had faded away. Lucille enjoyed her family and friends and had a great love for music. She always had a smile and a word of cheer for anyone who greeted her. Survivors include her son Wesley Walter Lane of Pahrump, Nev.; daughters Regina Marshall and Ina Marie Obrecht; and son-in-law Elton Marshall, all of Missouri Valley; sisters Elsie Harrold and Marcella Shaw of Red Oak; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members that she loved as her own. Her daughter, Joyce Joann Marshall passed away Dec. 24, 1995. Also, preceding her in death were sons-in-law Clyde Obrecht Jr. and Allen Marshall. The Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
