Surnames: Rouke, Duer Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/0k.2ADE/4109 Message Board Post: Missouri Valley Times Oct.23, 1885 On Sunday morning, October 18, 1885, at 10 o'clock a.m., at her late residence in LaGrange township, Harrison county, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Jane, wife of Wm. Rouke, aged 25 years. Mr. Wm. Rouke is the son of John John Rouke, and the deceased is the sister of C. H. Duer, of this city and was highly respected by all who knew her. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn her death. She was buried in the Catholic cemetery at Honey Creek on Tuesday last, followed to her last resting place by a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives. The funeral procession was the largest, perhaps, that was ever seen in the county, many of the friends of the deceased coming twenty miles to pay their last respects.
