The Daily Nonpareil 12/13/2006 Reba M. Germar Reba M. Germar, age 88, of Council Bluffs, passed away December 10, 2006, at her home. Reba was born July 1, 1918, in Logan, Iowa, to the late Edward and Lula (Copeland) Barkhoff. She graduated from Logan High School in 1935. Reba moved to Council Bluffs in 1963, and was a claims auditor for Service Life Insurance Co. for 20 years retiring in 1985. She was a member of Broadway Christian Church and Eagles Club Aerie #104. Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard (1980); sisters, Marguerite and Betty; brother, William Barkhoff. She is survived by her sons, Gary R. Germar of Woodbine, James L. Germar of Omaha; granddaughters, Julie Spomer and husband, Rick, Carrie Germar; grandsons, Rick Germar, Mike Germar, Rusty Germar; great grandchildren, Eric and Emily Spomer; several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the Family, Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral Service, Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary with Rev. Jann Osborn, Pastor of Broadway Christian Church, officiating. A lunch will immediately follow the service at the Eagles Club. Interment, Friday, 2:30 p.m. in Logan. Memorials to the Eagles Club Aerie #104 preferred.
