Logan Herald-Observer 1/3/2007 Mary L. Hull, 83, of Logan, passed away Dec. 26, 2006 in Des Moines. Funeral services were held Dec. 30, 2006 at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Logan with Father Mike Berner officiating. Vocalist was Jim Schwery. Selections were "Here I Am Lord," and "Old Rugged Cross." Casket bearers were Richard Johnson, Billy Buffum, Nick Thallas, Rex Rhoten, Danny Buffum, and Randy Johnson. Final resting place was St. Bridget's Cemetery in Logan. Mary was born Nov. 30, 1923 in Magnolia to Alma and Lauretta (McCauley) Buffum. She graduated from Magnolia High School. Mary married James R. Hull on April 14, 1947 in Woodbine. James' employment involved traveling so the Hull family lived in Des Moines, St. Louis, Chicago, and Blair before settling in Logan in 1993. Mary enjoyed crafts and sewing. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include her sons Patrick of St. Louis, Mo., Jerry of Windsor Heights, Iowa; daughter Jane Barnes and husband Randy of Windsor Heights, Iowa; sisters Norma Tamisiea of Missouri Valley, Linda Coddington of Missouri Valley, Joyce Kruse of Sun City, Calif., Agnes Niles, and Lorene Thallas of Blair, Neb.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
