She was the fifth of ten children, five sons and five daughters, born to Hugh and Florence (O'Connor) Crilly. She attended the Pat King School in Morgan Township, St. Joseph's Catholic School in Anthon, and graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School at Emerson, Neb., in 1938. Clifton Renneker and Eileen Crilly were united in marriage on April 13, 1940, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anthon, with Father A. M. Conlon officiating. This was a double wedding in which Eileen's sister, Mary Agnes Crilly and Vincent S. Burke were also married. Eileen and Cliff enjoyed 66 years of happy marriage until her passing on Cliff's 90th birthday Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Correctionville. Eileen was a loving and devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with family. She spent twelve years as the librarian for the Anthon Public Library and worked for Collins Agency in Anthon. She inspired a lifetime of reading enjoyment for her children and many young readers who visited the library. Her many interests included needlework, reading, working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, cooking, and gardening. She loved to bake and sew for her family. Among the organizations Eileen was involved in were Catholic Daughters, 4-H, and American Legion Aux! iliary, and a member of the Northwest Regional Resource Advisory Board for public libraries. Eileen will be fondly remembered by her husband, Cliff; two sons and four daughters, Jim and Joyce (Davis) Renneker of Warroad, Minn., Carol and Ray Orr of West Point, Neb., Joyce and Bob Tullis of Dallas, Texas, Bill and Kathy (Lyon) Renneker of Brookings, S.D.; Muriel and Dan McDermott of Breda, Iowa, Mary and Peter Sorensen of State College, Penn.; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Mike Crilly of Oklahoma City, Okla.; her sister, Pauline and her husband Roy Sorensen of Bancroft, Neb.; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Crilly of Dunlap and Bernadine Crilly of Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Penelope (Nelle) Pearson, Mary Burke, Sister Alice Marie Crilly, and brothers, Francis, Wayne (Bob), Ralph (Bud), and Eugene; and grandson, Lee Orr. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anthon, Iowa wit! h Rev. Terry Roder officiating. Music was provided by Julie Hamann as organist and St. Joseph's Choir. Lector was Dan McDermott and Eucharistic Minister was Gloria Biegler. Interment was made at Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery in Anthon. Pallbearers were Chad McDermott, Travis McDermott, Timothy Orr, Rob Renneker, Andrew Renneker, Rick Crilly. Armstrong Funeral Service in Anthon was in charge of arrangements.
