Blume, 81, of Dunlap, Iowa died on Monday, December 25, 2006 at the Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center. Joe was born April 27, 1925 on the farm near Dow City in Crawford County, Iowa to parents, William and Edna (Girard) Blume. Joe attended Boyer Township country school and graduated from Dunlap High School in 1943. He worked on the farm for LaVerne and Evelyn Jochims for many years. Joe enjoyed going to town and playing cards. He enjoyed his nieces and nephews at the family gatherings. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Miller. He is survived by his twin brother, Bill Blume and his wife Raydene of Storm Lake, Iowa; a sister, Virginia Blume of Dunlap, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. Memorial graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 30 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap, Iowa. Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap was in charge of arrangements.
