(Sears) The Daily Nonpareil 1/3/2007 & 1/4/2007 Dorris E. Petersen, age 87, of Council Bluffs, passed away January 2, 2007 at Mercy Hospital. Dorris was born August 27, 1919 in Logan, Iowa to the late John and Belle (Allen) Sears. She and her late husband, William P. Petersen were the owners of Petersen Radio Co. since 1940. Dorris was a member of the Christian faith. She is survived by cousins. Open visitation, Thursday at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Graveside Service and Burial, Friday, 12:00 noon at Cedar Lawn Cemetery (Southlawn section). Rev. Jann Osborn will officiate. Memorials to the Salvation Army preferred.
