James was born February 3, 1966 in Omaha, Neb., to Robert and Fay (Cross) Welch. He lived all 40 years in Council Bluffs and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1984. James worked at Tower Management for 12 years and was an avid Hawkeye fan. James is preceded in death by his parents Fay and Bob Welch. He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, Steven Welch, of Omaha, Neb., Theresa Beauchamp and husband Mark, Jeffrey Welch and wife Helen, all of Council Bluffs, Donald Welch and wife Lorraine, of Methuen, Mass., Karen Schnackenberg and husband Mark and Christopher Welch, all of Missouri Valley; nephews, Adam Beauchamp, of Council Bluffs, Andrew Burbine, of Methuen, Mass., Shawn Welch, of Missouri Valley; niece, Sarah Welch, of Missouri Valley; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Henry-Livingston Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will be Noon Thursday at the funeral home. Private family inurnment. Memorials may be directed to Jim's niece and nephews to the A.A.S.S. fund at Peoples National Bank.
