S. Jewell Mrs. Clarissa Elvira Jewell, widow of Almeron S. Jewell, long a resident of Logan, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lettie Jones, in Council Bluffs, Tuesday, of heart trouble. She had been ill but a few days. Mrs. Jewell was born in Ohio, but was a resident of Logan for many years. She was a kind motherly woman and all who knew her respected and loved her. She was the mother of several children, all of whom spent part of their childhood and school days here. There are three daughters and three sons surviving, Mrs. Claude Norris, of Strahan, Iowa, Mabel Leonard of Canada, Mrs.Jones at whose home she was living at the time of her death. The sons are Charles of South Dakota, Fred of Crescent, and Lester in Canada. Mr. Jewell passed away several years ago. The funeral will be held at the Logan cemetery this afternoon, where the interment will take place. Mrs. Jewell had many friends in Logan and she will be knidly remembered by all. Clarissa's maiden name was Bunton. Respectfully submitted for other researchers.
