'Hoss' Behrens Daily Nonpareil 11/07/2006 Marvin L. "Hoss" Behrens, 56 years, of Macedonia, Iowa, passed away Nov. 5, 2006 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha. He was born October 16, 1950 in Council Bluffs to Hillert J. and Clara C. (Sorensen) Behrens. A 1968 graduate of Lewis Central High School, he formerly lived in Woodbine, Iowa, Council Bluffs, Underwood, and past 12 years in Macedonia. He had 33 years service with the Union Pacific Railroad as a Conductor. He formerly trained horses and was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Jacobson, 1979, and Martha Elaine Stephens, 1997. Survivors include his son, Chris Behrens, of Emerson, Iowa; grandchildren, Cody Behrens and Shaylynn Behrens, both of Glenwood, Iowa; brothers, Donald and wife June, John and wife Donna, Steve and wife Jane, all of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews. His wishes were to be cremated. A gathering of friends for a Memorial service will be held Wednesday 2 p.m. At The Rose, in Treynor, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society for Lymphoma Research.
