He was a prominent citizen of Audubon, Guthrie, and finally, Harrison Co., Iowa, where he finally settled about 1868 and died in 1911. I have copies of several of the write-ups about him, but do not have a copy of the write-up which is mentioned below; On page 672-673 of the 1915 History of Harrison County, Iowa, it states: The reader is urged to refer to the chapter on "Reminiscences" in this volume, where will be found an article written by Judge HARRIS in October, 1905, a few years prior to his death, in which he reviews the changes his eyes had beheld in "Fifty-one Years."
