He was born on March 28, 1927, to Henry Martin Jahde, Sr., and Anna Marie Groneberg, Henry Sr.'s second wife. My father told me that his father had been married before, but this is the first time I have ever encountered her name, Linda (Hollander) Jahde. (Linda was an unusual, and more modern, name for that time!) I'm not sure that my father knew Hattie, Clarence, and Sylvia's mother's name. Anything that you can tell me about the Jahde clan would be helpful. I am just beginning my search -- my father (Henry, Jr.) died on April 21st of this year (2006). I miss him terribly and want to learn more about his family who all hailed from the Denison, Iowa, area. I remember meeting his mother's (Anna Groneberg's) sister, Bertha, somewhere in that area when I was very young (1960's). While I know that the Gronebergs are not of interest to you, I would appreciate any information about the Jah! de's. Thank you so much.
