He is survived by his daughter, Carol (David) Schilling, of Omaha; and sister, Jean Grimm, of Exira, Iowa. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Fouts Funeral Home in Woodbine. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Methodist Church in Woodbine. He attended country school near Dunlap and farmed with his parents. Marvin married Frances Johnson January 19, 1949, at the Methodist Church in Woodbine. He continued farming and also worked at the filling station and the Chevy garage. Marvin then worked for the Harrison County REC as a lineman for over 30 years ~ retiring in 1994. He also went into the construction business with Bill Harris. The two formed Harris-Malone Construction and built and remodeled many houses as well as doing electrical and roofing work. Marvin loved to fish and ride his motorcycle. Marvin and Frances loved to travel on the motorcycle. They took many family vacations to Minnesota so they could fish. Marvin died on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at his daughter’s home in Omaha, Nebraska attaining the age of 76 years, 11 months and 12 days. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances on October 5, 1999; two brothers, Walter and Melvin; sister, Mildred Kline; and special dog Mercedes. He is survived by his daughter, Carol and her husband Dave Schilling of Omaha, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Jay Jorgensen and Julie Jorgensen; 13 great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; sister, Jean Grimm of Exira, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
