Milo was born June 30, 1918, in Moorhead, Iowa, to Mike and Hannah (Severson) Nelson. Milo served in the Army during W.W. II. He lived most of his life in Omaha working at City Glass Co., The Paxton Hotel, and Yellow Cab. He and his wife, Mary, moved to Council Bluffs where they both worked at Hill's Bar and Grill. Milo was a member of Eagles 38 in Omaha, and the American Legion. He loved music, dancing, gambling but above all, his friends and family. Milo is preceded in death by his wife, Mary (1989); son, Gale (1982); daughter, Helen (1966); four brothers, five sisters. Milo is survived by daughters, Teresa Nelson of Council Bluffs and Mila Cappelli of Livorna, Italy; step-son, John Futtrell; sister-in-law, Pauline Peacock; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. At Henry-Livingston Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be Monday, 1 p.m., at WestLawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Omaha with Military Rites conducted by VFW Post 247. Memorials may be directed to Teresa Nelson.
