Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Joe Renz died on Friday, October 6th at his home. Survivors include 3 children, Sandra Moucka (Russ) of Omaha; Larry Renz (LaRain) of Oxford, GA and Ronald Renz (Suzie) of Hawaii. He attended country school through the 8th grade, and he received his high school diploma later. Joe married Lois D. Athey on August 16, 1944. The couple farmed west of Woodbine then West of Dunlap. They then moved into the town of Dunlap in the fall of 1986. Lois died on October 31, 1998. Joe was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. In his spare time Joe enjoyed woodworking. Joe also enjoyed his farming and his stock cows as well as reading a good book. Joe died on Friday, October 6, 2006, at his home in Dunlap attaining the age of 82 years, eight months, and one day. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois; two brothers, Walter and Ray Renz and a sister, Vera Aberhart. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra and her husband Russ Moucka of Omaha, Nebraska; two sons, Larry Renz and his wife LaRain of Oxford, Georgia, Ronald Renz and his wife Suzie of Hawaii; 16 grand-children; 25 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
