She excelled in school, graduated from Dunlap High School in 1937, and attended Buena Vista College where she earned her teaching certificate. Nadean was a lifelong devoted member of the Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church, where she taught Sunday school, served as leader of the church youth group and women’s department, and attended many church reunion camps. Nadean always took her church responsibilities seriously, and carefully prepared her lesson plans. She played the piano and enjoyed inspirational music, especially church hymns. Nadean studied the scriptures and had a strong faith in God that sustained her throughout her life. Nadean was active as leader of her sons’ 4-H club, where she encouraged members to prepare and practice their presentations for 4-H events which resulted in many ribbons.
