Hi Listers, I'm an Australian, of Danish descent - and just last night found a listing for my 1c2r James M. Albertson in Logan, Harrison Co. (Well, *two* listings - his phone number, for 1905, is there too) ;-)) My question: could SKS please check this reference for me? *** 1967 Centennial for Logan, Harrison County, Iowa (Letters A through C) ALBERTSON J. M. 49, 60, 65 *** (I have scanned the list of genie volunteers, but this exact reference isn't offered by anyone). BTW, I can say that I had an exciting scamper last night, with the help of some genies on the Denmark-L. Seems that James M., wife Edith, and daughter Dorothy moved from Logan to Lincoln, Nebraska (1920 census) then to Omaha, Nebraska (1930 Census). I might even have found a living U.S. relative - this last Census shows a grand-daughter, Merrilee (C?) ALBERTSEN, aged 2-1/2 (so, c.76 now). (But I will concentrate first on finding her grandfather) ;-)) Many thanks, Lesley (Melbourne, Australia ... a seriously wintry day here, in late autumn)

A number of years ago I exchanged information with someone and receive some information on Luella and Fred Morrow. Unfortunatly I can't find who sent if. Your grandmother died before my father was born so he didn't even remember her name so I didn't find about her until he passed in 1989. The Ritchisons have really been hard to trace. I suspected that they are related to Abraham and Walter but I haven't located the connection. Luella and Thomas were the children of George Washington Ritchison and Rebecca Becknell. (I'm not positive of Rebecca's last name--another brick wall) I believe that George's father was James Ritchison. According to the census James was born in Virginia. So were Abraham and Walter. With the same unusal last name and with all three being born in VA i! t seem that there to much to just be coincedance. If you would like to reach me my email address is [email protected]
