Hello Listers, I recently received a copy of an obit for one of my husbands ancestors who died shortly after child birth. The father unable to take care of eight children, took only the two oldest boys. The rest especially the 2 week old infant was placed in the Orphans Home in Council Bluffs, IA. Does anyone out there have any knowledge of where records for this Orphans Home might be found? This would have happened in 1898. All help and suggestions appreciated. Shirley in OK.
