It had a GAR flag holder, which I assumed meant he was a Civil War veteran. I have not been able to located a unit for the family from my research, and only could track property in Fremont County. I did run across such units as the Graybeards who were not actually in battle. Is there any list that might include this man who would have been about 50 or so during the war?
